All summer we have been collecting shoes for the Shoe Away Hunger program, and we our counting down the days until the Shoe Bus comes to sell shoes (At the market on Wednesday August 28th). If you would like to know more about this program, and all the good that it does for hungry Minnesotans, you can watch this informational video:

As I sit and look at the gloomy skies waiting on the rain, I am already missing all of the wonderful people that made the 2018 Bongards Market such a huge success!
Last week was our last market for the season, but I would be remiss if I did not send a note out to all of our vendors, customers, loyal supporters, and PoP Club families. THANK YOU for your patronage at the market this year. We are more than just a place to buy and sell vegetables, we are a community that loves and supports one another.
And so as we “close down” our 2018 season, I just want to say:
THANK YOU to everyone who is a part of this very special community here in the parking lot of St. John’s UCC. We will see you next summer!

Yes, it’s back to school time, but the market is still going strong!
We are getting in all the Fall veggies, so stop by after school. You know you are too busy to cook, so get dinner from Fireman’s BBQ. Try the Carolina Pork sandwich or the Sweet Swine, or heck, just buy that meat by the pound! (Sandwiches and tacos for days).

NEW THIS WEEK: Mark Willems of Fresh Start Farms LLC has plenty of melons this week for sale at the market. Varieties include
cantaloupes, sugar baby watermelons, and sunshine watermelons (they are yellow!).
